RECORDING GEAR USED FOR SUBMISSION AND COFFEE

Our H2 "Bedcasting" setup.
The episodes after number 75 or so are done with this set-up, just the H2. We only use the big mics and the preamp (below) now only for for intros and outros, and paid voiceover work. They're too much trouble to set up and tweak. The H2 much more spontaneous - makes for casts that are more natural and conversational - than setting up mics and preamps and getting levels and wearing headphones.
I still edit a bit, especially trimming out bumping the mic when we start and stop the H2, but don't cut out every cough and brain fart like I did early on.

===============
Photos of good mics over bed (we don't use these much in bed, only use them for promos and Podiobooks and paid voiceover, but we like the look with the kitties, so we thought we'd share the pix. Mics are: ThornDaddy's prototype MXL M3-B on the left of the photo, Dollie's Rode NT1-A on the right.)
