Diary of an S&M Romance is 232 pages (with 25 photos) of well-crafted work about the burgeoning love affair between two consenting adults who happen to have pretty twisted desires, and creative intellects to match.

The book consists of many of the e-mails they wrote each other in the first three months of courtship (from their first contact), Dollie's essays on the subject of alternative sexuality, information about their favorite hangout (Bondage.com), experiences in dungeon sex clubs in Southern California, and a final "Closing Arguments" summation.

This is followed by appendices, consisting of an interview with the founders of Bondage.com, a list of recommended reading & surfing, the famous essay "Acid Test For True Dominants" and a piece on safe and effective Internet dating.

The book is not random, works well as a piece, and has a well-developed and compelling narrative arc. The style is poetically conversational, easy & breezy, but smart (and dirty).
